Clinical Case: A Functional and Esthetic Anterior Repair

Using 3M™ Imprint™ 4 VPS Impression Material.

About the Case

The female patient in her fifties presented with insufficient anterior crowns and defective composite restorations on both upper canines. In the cervical area, multiple defects were present; one had been previously treated with composite but showed discoloration. For further diagnostics, an orthopantomogram was taken and exposed secondary caries. The patient was unhappy with the esthetics of her smile, and her highest priorities were to improve the discoloration and exposed marginal defects. In consultation with the patient, the decision was made to remove all six upper anterior restorations and replace them with ceramic crowns. This resulted in an esthetic and harmonized appearance.
