Webinar: Postendodontic restorations: new insights for clinical practice

The success of endodontic dental treatment is manifested in the healing of the periapical inflammatory process and the maintenance of tooth functionality without clinical symptoms. The functionality and durability of an endodontically treated tooth depends on the timely and quality restoration of the tooth. The goal is to prevent the development of reinfection and the occurrence of unfavorable tooth fractures, which are the most common reasons for the extraction of endodontically treated teeth. The amount of remaining tooth structure is an important factor in predicting the outcome of endodontic treatment and precise planning of restorations is an important step in endodontic treatment.

The lecture will explain the most common reasons of fractures of endodontically treated teeth, how to strengthen the tooth after root canal treatment, indications for placement of intracanal posts, advantages and applications of bulk composite materials and the latest bioceramic materials in the restoration of endodontically treated teeth in the posterior region. A number of clinical cases and how to avoid the most common errors in clinical work will be presented. Based on current scientific knowledge, clinical recommendations will be made with an emphasis on the preservation of hard dental tissues and individual approach to the patient.
