Patient had hidden interproximal caries on upper first pre-molar.

Initial situation.
X-ray showed hidden caries at the distal side of the upper first pre-molar.
Isolation with rubber dam.
Preparation.
Selective enamel etch. Phosphoric acid gel was applied for 15 seconds, rinsed and lightly dried.
Adhesive was applied on dentin, rubbed in for 20 seconds, air dried for 5 seconds and light cured for 10 seconds.*
After adaptation of the matrix system, the first layer of 3M™ Filtek™ Universal Restorative, shade A2, was placed.
Placement of the restoration is completed.
The restoration was polished with the first spiral in the two-step 3M™ Sof-Lex™ Diamond Polishing System.
A high gloss was achieved using 3M™ Sof-Lex™ Diamond Polishing System’s second spiral.
