About Keeley Flavin

Keeley graduated from the University of Minnesota with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH), and restorative functions (RF) certification. She practiced clinically in a metropolitan general dentist’s office for several years before deciding to pursue her Masters in Dental Hygiene Education (MSDH) at the University of Minnesota. She joined the University of Minnesota’s School of Dentistry in 2019, and currently serves in the Department of Dental Hygiene as the senior Clinic Director and full-time Clinical Assistant Professor in didactic, clinical, and interprofessional education, while continuing to work clinically once a week. Her teaching responsibilities include Cariology and Applied Nutrition, Periodontology, Restorative Functions, and Research Methods, as well as a variety of continuing dental education courses in the areas of instructional strategies, oral/systemic health, and best clinical practices, among others.
