Using 3M™ Filtek™ Easy Match, 3M™ Sof-Lex™ Discs, 3M™ Scotchbond™ Universal etchant gel, and 3M™ Scotchbond™ Universal Plus Adhesive.
6 yo girl otherwise healthy came to the practice with her mother having as chief complaint the broken incisal edge on tooth 11. The fracture occurred in an accident at school. The clinical exam revealed an enamel fracture of the incisal margin and distal angle of #11. Together with the mother it was decided to restore shape, contours and esthetics of the tooth using a direct composite restoration. Free hand direct anterior composite restoration using finger index technique was done. 3M™ Filtek™ Easy Match Universal Restorative in Bright shade was used to restore shape, contours and esthetics. The incisal edge was reformed with fine burs. Sof-Lex disc, pumice and polishing pasta were used for polishing the surface.

3M Sof-Lex disc Coarse was used to improve shape and contours.
Enamel etching.
Enamel etching of #11 with 3M Scotchbond Universal etchant gel. Allow to react for 15 sec.
Rinse with water and dry with water-free and oil-free air.
Bonding enamel surface after etching #11.
Bonding application.
Bonding surface after application of 3M Scotchbond Universal Plus Adhesive #11. Light-cured with LED device for 10 sec.
Finger index technique.
Use of 3M Filtek Easy Match Universal Restorative in Bright shade to restore shape, contours and esthetics.
Composite placement.
Free hand direct anterior composite restoration using finger index technique.
Finishing and polishing.
Polished surface #11. 3M Sof-Lex discs Medium, Fine, Super-fine, pumice and polishing pasta were used. The incisal edge was reformed with fine burs.
