In worn and eroded teeth, the addition of composite material to the buccal enamel makes the tooth thicker, incrementing resistance to the dental structure. Additionally, there is the possibility of hiding margins and defects, improving the shape and offering a very esthetic outcome. Additive dentistry is a must for a successful dental practice.
This clinical case shows a very esthetic solution applying additive dentistry to restore the upper central incisors, which presented failed restorations, secondary caries, marginal discoloration and wearing of the incisal edges and buccal surface.
