Using Bioclear™ Evolve Matrix Height Indicator, Bioclear™ Blue Evolve Matrix, 3M™ Filtek™ Supreme Flowable Restorative, 3M™ Scotchbond™ Universal Plus Adhesive, 3M™ Filtek™ Supreme Ultra Universal Restorative, and 3M™ Sof-Lex™ Contouring and Polishing Discs.
A Caucasian male, age 46, presented for a first consultation. During the consultation, interproximal decay was found on the distal of the lower left first molar which caused fracturing of the marginal ridge. The patient was scheduled for a class II restoration using the Bioclear™ method. One of the main challenges of class II restorations is the ability to create tight contacts and to finish the restoration properly due to the limited access to the interproximal area. These problems are easily managed using the Bioclear™ method. The push-pull technique with the new TwinRing Universal easily created tight contacts. The cavity design, with the creation of the infinity edge, and the injection molding technique are a game changer in restorative dentistry. The beauty of this approach is in the quality of the wide and rounded contact points, the quality of the restoration due to the injection molding technique and the easy polishing of excess composite.

Injection molding was performed using 3M™ Scotchbond™ Universal Plus Adhesive, 3M™ Filtek™ Supreme Flowable Restorative, and 3M™ Filtek™ Supreme Ultra Universal Restorative.
Results after using 3M™ Sof-Lex Contouring and Polishing Discs and the Bioclear™ Rockstar Polishing system.
